The performance Condensation of Memories is structured through an interplay between quotidian musical expression and theatrical forms. Within this framework, the violin and cello serve as representations of a character’s authentic and inauthentic states, respectively. The inauthentic state is characterized by a continual interaction with external surroundings, accompanied by a persistent sense of inner vertigo that ultimately resolves into an authentic state. The Celtic folk music performed by the character in the inauthentic state draws its thematic inspiration from the narrative of a bagpiper who, as part of their royal duties, played each morning for the royal family, culminating in a final performance at the Queen’s funeral.
